On Sunday 11th September, four members of the Eloquent team took part in a 9 mile run to raise money for Young Devon. In total they raised over £18k and still counting. This is an incredible achievement, as they managed to beat their originally fundraising target of £15k.
The money raised will go towards helping young adults in need; this could be through providing housing, educational support, or encouraging them to learn new skills. Young Devon share many stories of how their funds have helped others, which is what inspired us to take part in this event in the first place.
Not only is it for a great cause, it was an extremely enjoyable day. The event was well organised, with a friendly and encouraging atmosphere.
The run itself was enjoyable, we were lucky to have nice weather, and some of us managed to treat ourselves to an ice-cream or two before the finish line.
We are extremely honoured to have been involved, and we are looking forward to the next one.
